  • A true entrepreneur when Don downsized to fit everything he owned into a Dodge Neon and moved to Arizona to start the business with close friend and co-founder the late Derek Rex.
  • Don became a well-known podcaster while forming Seelie Studios.
  • Don is also an expert home brewer and teaches classes on the subject.
  • Don’s father was a firefighter and drove the aerial ladder truck for the city of Ames, Iowa.
  • Creative Director actor/director Eric Schumacher began his training as an actor at the age of 6. His parents, noted actors Joan and Paul Schumacher were his primary teachers for many years.
  • Eric is an accomplished martial artist and studied and taught kung fu for 11 years.
  • Videographer and Studio Manager Scott Forster was once a professional Collectible Card Game player and won the 2001 MLB Showdown world championship.
  • Sound Technician/video editor Erin Newburn was once a theatrical technician and has worked for local drag and burlesque shows in Tucson Arizona.
  • Script Editor /Associate Producer Drew Kallen also runs the popular game store “Isle of Games”.
  • Staff caterer/props mistress Ginger Ferguson is a professionally trained pastry chef. Prior to working for Seelie Studios, she worked for a 4 star hotel. Her deserts are legendary.

  • Bob and Angus (the puppets from the 13 season branded webseries “the Bob and Angus Show” created by Seelie Studios for international game manufacturer Mayfair Games) have been featured on marquees in Times Square in New York.
  • Bob and Angus once interviewed Walter Koenig (Mr. Chekov from the original Star Trek) in front of a live audience at a the Gen Con convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • Creative Director Eric Schumacher recently played legendary law man Wyatt Earp for a national television drama. Having very little time after being cast, he learned to ride a horse 15 minutes before shooting.
  • As part of the corporate culture, the Seelie Studios plays staff frequently plays board games over lunch. They disagree on which of them has the over-all winning record.
  • Seelie Studios has won multiple awards from organizations such as the Arizona International Film Festival, the Parsec Awards, the ADDY Awards, the Indie Gathering International Film Festival, and the Phoenix ComiCon film Festival.
